Our Team
Scott Kerr
Scott is a native Houstonian and highly respected for his custom homes and high-end remodeling. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas in Austin. He began working in the construction industry, and then formed Kerr Construction LLC in 2009. Kerr Custom Homes specializes in new construction and extensive renovation in Tanglewood, River Oaks, West University, Highland Village, Hunters Creek Village, Piney Point Village and the Memorial area. With over 25 years of experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong passion to the homebuilding industry.
Kerr Custom Homes limits the number of projects they take on to be able to provide top notch service with attention to detail. With numerous homes consisting of building products like stone, plaster, antique wood beams, steel doors and windows along with architectural elements, it requires constant collaboration between the builder, architect, and designer. Scott and his team play a big role in working closely with the owners in order to guide them through the building process while being actively engaged from the pre-construction phase through the client’s move-in experience. He works on each project with the goal of exceeding the client’s expectations for service.
Don Machen
Don brings a strong construction background to our company. After attending Southwest Texas State University, he began working for Brighton Builders, Creekstone Custom Homes, Pinnacle Custom Homes, and Stonehenge Custom Homes prior to joining our company. With over 30 years in the home building industry, he is currently Senior Project Manager. Don manages the job site, coordinates the subcontractors, and orchestrates the flow of building products in order to keep the job on schedule.
